Professor Willi Dungl Health Center / Gars am Kamp

In 2001, Professor Willi Dungl built a heath center specializing in traditional Chinese medicine in Gars am Kamp, Lower Austria. To the right and left of the central masonry structure, and situated within a polygonal plot, are two Holz100 towers.
As far as wood-based construction methods go, this is an ambitious architectural execution which stands in harmonious juxtaposition to the traditional church architecture of the neighboring area. Because the Holz100 technology eschews the use of wood "preservatives" and resin-based glues, the result corresponds to the very aim of the healing process itself, namely to allow spiritual and material components to work for the good of the people within.

Even the serious flood which occurred shortly after the center opened did not affect the timber construction in any way. Holz100 is not just "organic" but rather, as a system, technically mature and of the highest quality.
